Audio Saturdays: ERF pt.3
Today we present the final installment of the “lost” La Sudar EP, “ERF”.
On Monday, we received a message from them:
hey S&W
hearing the responses from your followers to the ERF ep, got me digging around my archives for any context to the ERF recording sessions. i didn’t really find any, but i did find this image, which is likely a cover image i made for the ep. please note that hearing these tracks again, i now consider this ep “unfinished” rather than lost – i doubt i would have made cover art for five minutes of music. it must have been a project i abandoned sometime in 2011, which, as you’re aware, was right smack in the middle of my “lost years”.

wait for a slow walk
to wind its way
through the trees,
a mystery of heat.
the border of the apartment
at the open window
smells and acts like over
the boundary is warped
from sun exposure
i lean in , nose into it to check
the air smells different
raindrop sentries hang in
a fringe line
one falls and the babies stir
in deep sleep
it snags a deaf ear
into the steady traffic.
little difference
has been offered to the
lively
monolith
i give you what you dream
for a long time
the eggshell sky fights
the bell.
the curve
we consider for a minute
but move on to something else
not sure what to call it
something here
feels habitual
rise
but in the morning
some things want
some demand
some imply
i have no time for these.
i with my jigsaw puzzles
and my dark floating mysteries
my rattling bus home
my tender shopping list
from which the evening mist appears
