set vertical against the sky
and the cries of YOUR AD HERE
a humid peace is rolling in

this particular formation
is as natural as the wind
gaze the same way to get a glimpse

but behind my thumb is the world gone mad

i return to center and look towards the horizon
for birds of plenty, birds of war, and birds of
restitution

time and space fold in and out
breathe
like an accordion

i’m part of the problem
keeping my fingers
pushed against the knob

what will it be this time?
will i fall
will i be pulled
or maybe massaged through,
guided, my make believes
parted,
sub-equal
